Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a popular Indian actress, best known for the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hai Koun, and Beta Saajan. The actress was initially famous for her 1980s role in Tezaab, in which she co-starred with an established actor Anil Koopor. Her next film was the movie Dil In which she was on screen alongside Aamir Khan. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she started learning dance at an early age. When she was a teen, she began acting and struggled for years as the majority of her early films failed. She finally found success, and was one of the most well-known actors in the Indian film industry. After her wedding, she took a short break from her acting career before returning. Recently, she played an important performance as a character in Gulaab Gang. The film focused on the struggles of women across India. Dixit was nominated for the fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she took home eight. Padma Shri was awarded to her, which is India's fourth highest civil honor. Also, she is well recognized for her charity work.
