Her return home was finally made after eighteen days in hospital, after a time when she was close to death, and began the long road back to healthy. Life was forever changed. Angelica had been in dialysis for nearly a year before she was finally ready for the biggest surgery of her entire life, a kidney transplant. Angelica would be receiving the donated kidney from her mother. Angelica and her mother had a successful kidney surgery on the 13th of September, 2013, at Emory University Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston, two hospitals located across from each other. Angelica Hale pursued her dream of being a star for years after.
